The square gracefully intersects the Vardar River and is lined with historic monuments, including the iconic Stone Bridge, the moving Mother Teresa Memorial House, and the bronze Warrior on Horseback statue. Surrounding the square are significant cultural landmarks such as the City of Skopje Museum, the old railway station, and the Museum of Macedonian Independence.
