Memorial House of Mother Teresa
About
The Mother Teresa Memorial House, located on Macedonia Street in Skopje, is a living tribute to the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, whose birthplace and baptism site are preserved inside the museum. The first-floor gallery recreates a 20th‑century Skopje house, displaying photographs, personal relics—such as the saint’s signature white sari, official habit, and prayer book—alongside exhibits of her humanitarian work. A small chapel above the gallery hosts weekly Catholic services, while the basement houses a multimedia amphitheater that presents visual and audio presentations about her life. The museum is open daily and offers free admission, welcoming families, history enthusiasts, religious pilgrims, and cultural tourists alike. The museum’s architecture—designed by Vangel Božinovski—attempts to blend modern sculpture with a nod to the building’s pre‑war church heritage. Visitors can explore the exhibit area, attend guided talks in the amphitheater, and participate in the chapel’s services during major religious observances.
