Actors perform short plays throughout the day while children can participate in games, sat up to sing with the cafe on the square. The museum also offers a café, a small kiosk with snacks and souvenirs, and a touch‑sensitive interactive guided tour that can be tailored for school classes in partnership with the municipality. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00, and the entire open season runs from 20 May to 13 September. Admission is free for children under 14, students pay NOK 85, adults NOK 170, while membership tickets are free for members of the Bymuseet i Bergen.
