About
The large gardens, Logehaven and Maartmannshaven, constituted in the 1700s a continuous park from Engen to Lille Lungegardsvann, quite identical to today's Ole Bulls plass. The border between the two gardens was about where today's Blue stone is. LogeHaven had large leafy trees that provided shade on sunny days. In the summer evenings, they were decorated with colored lanterns and other decorations. A crucian carp pond was there too, surrounded by green plants and shrubs. In 1993 Logehaven was reborn as an outdoor café/restaurant with the same name. It was an environmental improvement compared to the former petrol station that for many years had stood on the plot.
