Portasen - Herman Wildenvey's childhood home - is located in a beautiful landscape and quiet forest farm in Mjondalen, Nedre Eiker. Portasen is a center for dissemination of Herman Wildenvey life and writing. In addition, a meeting place and venue for local, regional and national artists and cultural workers. In Vaningshuset you will find Sorine Café and Poetry Library. In Laven there is the Herman Wildenvey-room and the Digital Archive. Bryggerihuset is the place for shared experiences and memories. Portasen's outdoor amphitheater can accommodate up to 400 spectators. There are concerts and readings during the summer. In the surroundings there is a rich flora, especially orchids species.
