About
It is likely that Tranby had its own church quite early after the introduction of Christianity. In the 13th this century is replaced by a stone church dedicated to St. Michael. The church is mentioned in records from 1347. Last service in this old church was held on 11 June 1854. The old stone church was torn down and replaced by a stone church with 400 seats. The church was consecrated in 1855 by Bishop Aarup. Cultural heritage.
