The building that houses Rederiet Hotell began its history in the mid-1950s when shipowner Andrew Glastad built a new office for Mosvolds Rederi in a contemporary funk style. Shipping operations continued in the building until the end of the 90s, when it was converted into a hotel. A few years later, the neighboring building Reymert's House, which is one of Farsund's oldest, was acquired and integrated into the hotel. Today, Rederiet Hotell can invite you to stay in 17 pleasant rooms that cover most needs, including suites and family rooms. The 12 rooms in the shipping company building are characterized by the maritime history of Mosvolds Rederi and its owners. Reymert's house has 5 delicate rooms that represent the era of privateering and the time of the white sails, all named after some of the city's privateer ships.
