For over 100 years, Arctic Hotel Nordkapp, by the old name HAVLY, has been a safe haven for visitors and fishermen to Honningsvåg. This hotel roots and traditions dating back to the old sailors’ home founded in 1928. First and the oldiest Havly hotel was build in Honningsvåg (1928). In 1944 hotel was ruined by the II w.w. and rebuild in 1952. Arctic hotel Nordkapp (Havly) is a different and exciting hotel, having been originally a shelter created by the Lutherans who welcomed the passing fishermen and visitors in town, offering them food and shelter as well as access to education and religious ceremonies in the chapel – now known as a Havly restaurant. Arctic Hotel Nordkapp has a fantastically good and central location in the city centre, in a main street Storgata, within local shops, grocery shops, restaurants, bus station to Nordkapp, and cultural offerings.
