Odderoya Museumshavn
About
Odderøya museum harbor offers maritime activities and has a special focus on the plastic boat's history and small boat life after World War II. The activity house is open in the summer, during other school holidays and during special events. We offer children's activities of various kinds and show an exhibition about plastic boats. In the workshop, the public is given an insight into how plastic boats are cast. The café "Kabyssen" sells freshly baked waffles during the museum's opening hours. In summer, the public can borrow a rowing boat, use water binoculars, make crab lines and bark boats, On "Sommerøya" on the headland, you can throw yourself on a beach chair and listen to people's summer memories. Every summer since 2011, there has been a floating boat exhibition with classic plastic boats in collaboration with private owners. Shiny wooden boats are also part of the floating exhibition.
