Seahouse accommodation Lofoten: the whitepainted seahouse Joh L Unstad Sjohus (JOHLUNS), Maervoll, offers rorbu holiday and has rorbu rooms with totally 40 beds for rent. There are 2-6 beds in each room. Prices: from NOK 300/night/room for one person, from NOK 400-650/night/room for 2-6 persons, that means from NOK 138/night/bed or less if at least 4 persons share a rorbu room. The seahouse is spacious with special good opportunities for backpackers, youth groups, hiking groups and other low budget groups. This budget accommodation has its own quay with a gorgeous view to the fjord and the proud sea alpine Lofoten mountains the Himmeltindene. Maervoll is situated between Tangstad and Unstad on the Atlantic side of the island and municipality Vestvagoy, 10 km from the Lofotr Viking Museum at Borg. The seahouse actually belongs to a little place called SORTLAND (in Steinfjorden), but due to the risk of confusion because of the town Sortland in Vesteralen, the nabour place Maervoll in the same fjord with the earlier post office is used to indicate the location. In some maps and travel literature, however, you will only find marked out this hamlet Sortland in Lofoten or/and the connected bay Sortlandsvika, and not Maervoll. It has good old atmosphere, but modern facilities. There are 3 bed rooms with bed space for 4 persons, NOK 3700 - 4200/week.
