Tertitten Urskog-Holandsbanen
About
"The train that's going nowhere- except to the past" Now running as a museum, this oft-photographed steam-driven landmark has been one of the most recognizable features of the Sørum-area since it started running in 1896. Easily accessible by train or car from Oslo, this quaint and scenic museum-on-tracks is a popular attraction for evenyone, from the family looking for an idyllic picnic to the "steam heads" who takes advantage of our knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff to really get upclose and personal with the inner workings of our three pieces of 21 metric ton 19th century steam-driven goodness. Our trains depart from Sørumsand station 11.00, 12.15, 13.30 and 14.45 every Sunday between June 14th and September 13th. Roughly half of the dates have special themes, which are announced on our web- and Facebook pages. If you're coming from Oslo, Sørumsand is a comfortable 30 minute trainride from Oslo S or about 40 minutes by car. ALL ABOARD!
