Vefsn local history museum is located in Sjøgata 31B in Mosjøen city centre. Look for a large, yellow two-storey warehouse on the Vefsna riverbank. In addition to the museums permanent "Town history" Exhibition we often offer exciting temporary exhibitions. Our quaint gift shop is also worth the trip! Tickets: NOK 50. Children: free admission. During july we also have a guided tour through Sjøgata at 12pm (drop-in). Cirka 30 minutes. Tickets: NOK 100. In the summer our open air museum (Vefsn Bygdetun) is also open. It is right beside the Dolstad church. The open air museum consist of various farm buildings from the 1600s up until the end of the 1800s. Here we have a small café where you can buy local food and beverage. You can also visit our 1930s Shell gas station in Skjervgata.
