Strand restaurant is located just 15 min from Oslo city centre. (3 minutes from Lysaker) The beautiful villa which houses the restaurant is a listed historical building surrounded by a parkland area and has magnificent views over Oslo fjord. The property was totally refurbished and opened to the public in 2010. Tom Victor Gausdal and Stian Floer has worked tirelessly together with Bærum Council to restore this beautiful building to its former glory and take it to new culinary hights. The original building has rich history and tradition dating back 2 centuries and has been used for countless weddings, christenings and other events and holds a special place in the hearts of the local residents. At present the building houses a cafè, restaurant, banquet halls and open terrace in. The local harbour can also be used by our guests who wish to arrive by boat. We have always extra focus on natural food and wine and to work sustainable.
