Like a white pearl by the seaside in Våge, you’ll find Mandelhuset. The three old white houses with green trim on the historic steamship quay were once a general store and a docking point for fjord boats. Today, the place has been transformed into a warm and cozy restaurant where the kitchen works its magic with Norwegian ingredients to create delightful dining experiences for you and your loved ones. The current owners have been running Mandelhuset since 2005, but the restaurant itself was established in 1995 after the general store closed in 1994, having served the community since 1923. Our mission is to be a great restaurant and gathering place on Tysnes, contributing to making it a wonderful place to live and visit.
