Welcome to Sandnessjoen! At the foot of the Seven Sisters mountain range (De Syv Sostre), we find Sandnessjoen, the gateway to the coast of Helgeland. The city hosts an attractive visitor's marina and a system of excellent communications including an airport, express passenger boats, ferries, buses and the Coastal Steamer. Based in Sandnessjoen, you can enjoy the fascinating coastline, go island hopping, do some fantastic scuba diving, go crab fishing, sea or freshwater fishing, hunting, cycling, kayaking, mountain rambling, sailing and lots more. Includes the boroughs of Heroy, Alstahaug, Leirfjord and Donna. The Tourist Information in Sandnessjoen center is open all year round.
