Stavanger youth hostel Mosvangen is located in beautiful surroundings by the lake Mosvannet, an area very popular for running and walking. You are approximately 3 kilometres from the city centre of Stavanger. The youth hostel has 115 beds in 45 rooms. By car from Kristiansand Coming from Kristiansand on the E-39 road look for and turn off at the signs to the Hospital (Sykehuset) and Bergen. Now, through a couple of circles, you follow the signs to Bergen and Mosvangen Camping. When you see the sign to Mosvangen camping to your right side you turn. You will find us just above the camping on Henrik Ibsensgate 19. By car from the central station in the centre of Stavanger. Where the train and busses stop. Take left in the circle when your coming form the train- or busstation. In the next circle, into the 509-road you take right. Follow this road until it splits in another circle. Then you take left and continue until you see signs towards the E-39 towards Bergen and the Hospital (Sykehuset). Turn off here and continue to follow the signs towards Bergen and Mosvangen Camping by taking right in the two circles that come. When you now see a road to on your right side towards Mosvangen Camping you turn off and you will find us just above the camping. By foot from the central station in the centre of Stavanger. Where the train and busses stop. It’s about 3 km, approximately 20 - 30 minutes walk. Take left when you get out from the train- or busstation. Continue on the road Jernbaneveien. Take left in the first circle and follow the road Olav Vs gate. Now walk under the next circle so that you get on the left side of the big 509-road Kannikgate. Take left in to a paralell street and walk along white houses on you right side. Continue on this paralell street until you have a bridge that crosses the big Motorway on you right side. Take this bridge over, take left and now you have the motorway on you left side instead. Walk on this small forestroad until you get to Mosvangen Camping. You will find us just past the camping. By bus from the central station in the centre of Stavanger. Where the train and buses stop. Bus nr 4 goes from bus stop 8 outside the station. It runs very often, in the daytime about 8 times an hour. It drives out on Ladugardsveien, through a tunnel and up through the hospital area. Than it takes Auglandsveien towards Ullandhaugsveien. Get off the bus at the first bus stop when it has turned from Auglandsveien into Ullandhaugsveien. From here you go down to a white house which is a bakery and a supermarket called Brustadbua. You pass the store and a bit to the left you can walk on a pedestrian path underneath the road. Now you see the camping and the youth hostel is just after this on the left hand side. Bus from the Hostel to the centre of Stavanger You walk back to Brustadbua, but now you have to cross Ullandhaugveien, on the left side of Brustadbua and you see the bus stop a bit further up on that street. Bus nr 4 will come down the hill and go into the centre. Taxi You can take a taxi from the centre or call +47 51 90 90 90 to Stavanger Taxi. Give them the address: Stavanger Vandrerhjem, Henrik Ibsens gate 19 You can also say that it's next to Mosvangen Camping. From Sola airport You take the airport bus towards Stavanger. Go off at the bus stop called Tjensvollkrysset. Walk up to you left on Gunnar Warebergs gate. Walk this road and you will have a high hotel on you right hand side, followed by First Hotel Alstor on your right hand side. Continue a few more minutes and turn left on Henrik Ibsens gate. Follow the signs to Mosvangen Camping and you will find us just before the camping.
