About

Faerder National Park Centre was opened on June 27th 2015 by Her Majesty Queen Sonja. The role of the centre is to educate its visitors about the national park, the environment and about the significance of the ocean. Faerder National Park was established in 2013. It includes land areas, islands, skerries and seabed in the municipalities of Tjome and Notteroy. The park stretches from Ormoy in the north to Faerder lighthouse in the south and includes the islands south of Hvasser, The World's End (Verdens Ende) and Moutmarka. In the middle of the Oslo Fjord, Faerder National Park borders to Ytre Hvaler National Park.
