Hotell Skansen is a small, well-run hotel from 1983, centrally located in Storgata in the heart of Tromsø. The hotel has 40 rooms divided into single, double and triple rooms - plus a double room with its own bedroom. Free internet and breakfast are included every day on all overnight stays. We can also offer parking in the hotel's backyard (NOK 150,-). The hotel has recently gained new owners and is working hard to renovate rooms and common areas, as well as raise the general standard to the delight of both new and familiar guests. The hotel has a very central location in the historic part of the city, with Skansen Fortress and the new district of Vervet a very short walk away. The hotel is within walking distance of everything Tromsø has to offer. There are good bus connections to the airport, the university and the hospital, and a taxi ride to all three locations takes about 15 minutes.
