Orlowo Pier
About
The Orłowo Pier (Polish: Molo w Gdyni Orłowie) is a historic wooden pier stretching 180 metres along the Baltic coast in the seaside district of Orłowo, Gdynia. Originally built in the First World War as a pleasure pier, it was extended in the 1920s to 430 metres before a 1949 storm destroyed half of the structure. Reconstruction in 1953 restored the pier to its current length, making it a popular promenade for both locals and tourists. Adjacent to the pier is the Summer Stage of the Gdynia Theatre and the dramatic Orłowo cliff, offering panoramic sea views and an ideal setting for sunset walks. The pier has long been a venue for wedding celebrations and various community events, cementing its role as a cultural and recreational hub in the Tricity area.
