About

Kamieńczyk Falls (Polish: Wodospad Kamieńczyka) is a striking and popular natural attraction located on the shores of the Karkonosze National Park in Lower Silesia, Poland. Rising to a total height of 27 metres (89 ft), it is the highest waterfall within the Karkonosze range and the second‑highest in the entire country. The cascade is composed of three main drops, creating a dramatic series of waterfalls that plunge into a 100‑metre‑long gorge. Visitors also discover the man‑made Golden Grotto (Złota Jama) carved by Walloon workers, which sits behind the middle cascade, as well as a deep plunge pool studded with rocky outcrops. A popular spot for hikers, nature lovers, and adventure seekers, Kamieńczyk Falls attracts tourists from across Poland and the world. The park has installed protective nets along the trail to ensure safety, and a safety helmet is provided to every visitor. Entrance to the area requires a modest admission fee, and the park operates regular opening hours throughout the week.
