Muzeum Krakowa - Palac Krzysztofory
About
One of the oldest and most significant buildings surrounding the Krakow Main Square. Currently it's main building of Museum of Krakow, holding permanent exhibition "Krakow from the beggining, to no end" and several temprary exhibition changing regularly. Main exhibition, placed on two floors, tells the story of Krakow since it's legendary origins till present times. It shows Krakow, it's people, history and traditions from different perspectives, from political and self governance, through sciense, education and urban development to it's partying and rebelious side. Current temporary exhibitions are: 1. located in the open ground floor of the palace, exhibition of Krakow's traditional Easter Trees that were part of the contest for the most beautiful Easter Tree. 2. "Wisła. Re-kreacja", exhibition about the Vistula river and how it was used for recreational purposes and how it's re-created nowadays. Palace also includes the Museum of Krakow information center.
