Muzeum Martyrologiczne W Zabikowie
About
The Martyrological Museum in Żabikowo, established in 1979, fulfills its statutory duties by preserving the grounds and facilities that are remnants of the Nazi camps that operated from 1941 to 1945, as well as the former camp that held interned German civilians from 1945 to 1948. The museum covers approximately 3 hectares of land, stretching nearly 0.5 km directly along the A2 highway. It is also marked by monuments commemorating the suffering of Poles, Jews, Luxembourgers, Dutch, citizens of the former Soviet Union, and people of other nationalities. The museum building, expanded on the foundations of a former camp barrack and the remains of the former villa of the Nazi camp commandant, meets all the conditions for preserving and commemorating the museum's heritage. Serving as a meeting place for young people, it also plays an educational role.
