Torun History Museum

The Museum of the History of Torun is a branch of the District Museum and is to be found in a historical building at 16 Łazienna St in the medieval centre of the city. All exhibitions and cultural activities focus on Torun’s rich history. This eagerly and long-expected exhibition entitled Torun and its History takes up four floors and is one the largest mounted by the museum. The exhibition traces the history of Torun over the following periods: prehistory, the Middle Ages, the Early Modern, the 19th c, the interwar, World War II and the post-war years; and it follows the latest trends in contemporary museology. The Museum of the History of Torun offers additional attractions such as the Book of Torun 3D show, and regularly-held temporary exhibitions illustrating the history of the city.
