My name is Piotr Malarek. I am local guide authorized and licensed by the State Museum of Auschwitz and Birkenau. I was born in Oswiecim-Auschwitz, the city that is best known for the biggest german nazi extermination and concetration camp – Auschwitz and Birkenau. Growing up in the neighborhood of the former camp of Auschwitz I as well as history of my family during II World War had a huge impact of my future interest and deeper education of Holocaust. That is why my main goals is to make every effort to create a space during your visit for education and reflection that become a form of commemoration and not just transferring historical information of the place.
