About

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw has two locations. The smaller space for public program & offices are on the ground floor of the residential building at ul. Panska 3, next to the InterContinental hotel (5 min. walk from the Central Railway Station, across from the Palace of Culture and Science). The multifunctional venue is used as auditorium, cinema or performance space, depending on the current program. The main, temporary exhibition space is called Museum by the Vistula and it is located at Wybrzeze Kosciuszkowskie 22, next to the Copernicus Science Centre and the University of Warsaw Library, in a pavillion designed by Austrian architect Adolf Krischanitz. The pavilion was previously used as a temporary abode of the Kunsthalle in Berlin. It was lent to the Museum free of charge by the Viennese Thyssen-Bornermisza Art Contemporary foundation. The Museum’s facade is covered with painting by artist Sławomir Pawszak. There is a bookshop & cafe in both locations.
