About

The core of the museum's excitingly varied and unique collection is made up of equipment used for producing town gas from hard coal, which was also dubbed “illumination gas”. In addition to the exceptionally rich collection, the museum also boasts equally impressive surroundings. The old red brick buildings gracefully manage the trick of taking the visitor back in time. The charming gas lamps, alleys full of lush greenery, complemented by the handsome facades of the surrounding buildings, the water tower and the distinctive and monumental gas holders, create a unique atmosphere of old Warsaw.
