In the year 1915, on the site where today stands the HOME RESTAURANT Mattos, the great-grandmother of the current owner, FLAG DE ALMEIDA ADELAIDE, founded CASA D'ADELAIDE, commercial space for the service of food and a bed. In 1964, his son, SEVERIANO ALMEIDA MARQUES (FLAG), opens in the same space completely refurbished cafe, Petisqueira and delicatessen trade with COVAL HOUSE name, with the first employee MANUEL RIBEIRO ALVES, Natural GERES VILLAGE and father of the current owner. In January 1997, ALVES FLAG MR, founder of the great-grandson, starts a journey of total space, retaining the name CASA MATOS, given by MANUEL DE ALMEIDA E MATOS, the father of his wife, who explored the site between 1988 and 1996.
