The grandiose Café Progresso dates back to December 17, 1949, which, at the time and due to the refinement with which it was conceived, caused admiration in the environment. It was due to the initiative of David Dias de Resende (David Vilão), who courageously committed himself to offering Ovar a Café where everything was missing, from a modern coffee machine to a tea room on the 1st floor, where the youth of that time spent unforgettable hours of distraction and joy, dancing to the sound of good music.
