About

Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito was created in 1960 but it's landmarks goes beyond its 60 years of existence. Its roots are linked with Vidigueira's town history and the famous Vasco da Gama, the Earl of Vidigueira and patron of this project. Build upon 23 region winemaker’s will and effort, this winery is one of the oldest in Portugal. Today is also one of the most modern and visionary PME Líder in the country. The company vision is to keep the promise to lead this wine region and its wines and culture to an excellence level, linked to the autheticity of the "Antão Vaz" grape variety: this winery true inspiring muse that is used to design authentic and excepcional wines named as «The Alentejo’s White Wines». Casa das Talhas project was created to better connect the guest with the Winery. It's pourpose is to unlock the ancient secrets of wine making and to offer it to everyone.
