Alminhas da Míndua – Tourism, Health and Wellness is a rural tourism project with an innovative concept that invites to a special, inclusive and dedicated environment to the comfort and well-being of all its customers and above all those with special needs, which represent the fundamental principle of its creation. This project results from the restoration of a traditionally Minho cottage house, built in the century XIX that served as a grocery store, tavern, milk station, telephone station, post office, birth accent registration, blood pension, hiding point of the Refugees of the Spanish Civil War, meeting point of young people who at that time had no other type of contact than seasonal agricultural activities and lodging to temporary workers, teachers among others. It was always an "open door" house where people were taught to read and write but also a welcoming and generous door that always served those who passed by. For this reason, traditional values and rural customs are our basis of support and our operating guide. We are an inclusive tourism where we value the rest of the caregiver, the rest of professionals in burnout and the rest of the Pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela.
