About

It is a space of contemplation and dialogue with nature. Locate on a hill on the outskirts of the city; the farm has a stunning surrounding landscape. To the east, the Faleperra hill with the Sameiro Basilica and the Promontory of Bom Jesus; to the northeast, hillside on the Cavado riverbank, the sunny village of Amares, with the background of the mountain ranges of Geres and Cabreira; to the west, the serene valley of Cavado river elongates towards the sea; south, down the slope, the National Monument of the Sete Fontes, an ancient complex of water mines, gives access to the city Braga. We practice organic and biodynamic agriculture, where the process used does not affect the environment. Fertilizers are natural, derived from composting of organic waste. The health of the soil is essential for the health of plants, and living beings are precious in fighting pests and diseases. This allows us to display a range of certified products and high quality – fruits and vegetables, honey, handmade jams, aromatic and medicinal plants, spices, herbal teas and aloe vera. The vineyard is grounded on granitic soils and arranged in terraces along a hillside blessed with a microclimate, resulting in wines naturally influenced by the natural and environmental conditions. Careful selection of noble grape varieties– Alvarinho, Avesso and Trajadura for white wines – Vinhao for red wines, the use of natural organic processes of soil fertilization and nutrition, a careful monitoring in the preservation and phytosanitary treatment of the vineyards, plus a late harvest, with the aim of balancing levels of acidity and maturity have allowed quality harvests and wine productions.
