We rebuild this space respecting the tradition and the history it contains. The origin of this space is lost in time. The local blacksmith lived and worked here, around the second world war and later it was reconfigured into a fun spot . An ideal place to have a good time, in one of seven rooms with a private bathroom and air conditioning, in addition to a swimming pool that, we guarantee, will surprise you and where you can take relaxation to a new level, in our dry and wet saunas. Offering a standard bed and breakfast service with local products, it is possible, by prior appointment, to access an external gastronomic offer, to try the traditional Portuguese flavors. Quinta do Avô is an Eco-friendly space where nature is celebrated. We offer limitless quietness and a unspeakable silence. Outside the Quinta you can enjoy incredible landscapes and admire the bio-diversity of the area, walking in several nature tracks like “Via Nova” (or Geira), an historical trace from Roman Empire in the form of a strategically designed main road to link Bracara Augusta and Asturica Augusta (in Spain). You can also take a short break to various points of interest in the Peneda Gerês National Park or join a more radical mountain program with some of our certified partners. If you prefer a more radical approach, we can book with our certified partners a customized program in the mountains. We are pet friendly.
