About

Our Surfcamp Is a typical Portuguese cottage where you can spend an unforgettable surf holiday. Local surfers will teach you surfing within short in a safe way while you get an intense impression of the Portuguese way of life and culture. Surfing is an exciting game with the elements. At the same time it is absolutely consistent with nature. We want to convey to you the “spirit of surfing” which represents harmony among the surfers, respect towards nature, the ocean and the local culture. The "Da Silva Surfcamp" is a typical Portuguese cottage amid nature without any traffic nearby. The site is surrounded by spacious field granting a fantastic overall view over the green landscape and a wide valley up to the opposite villages. From the huge sun deck you can comfortably look onto the blue sea and the seaside resort "Praia da Areia Branca" while lying in the hammock. At dawn you can experience gorgeous sunsets. There are several routes across the country yard to the beach – by foot within 20 minutes. With the beach cruiser which can be rented at our camp, it won’t take 10 minutes and by car on the highway you will arrive at the beach within 3 minutes. Although the camp is located very close to the Atlantic, the feeling of being somewhere in the countryside – far away from the hustle and bustle on the beach – is granted by "Da Silva Surfcamp." There are two private double rooms, one four-bed room and one six-bed room. While the two double rooms share a bathroom with shower, both multi-bed rooms have a bathroom of their own. The big kitchen, where breakfast is served every morning, is located on the ground floor. The living-room with its huge sun deck is to be found on the first floor. Our surfcamp is an open house, i.e. there is always a lot going on. Apart from the joint dinners, which are included in the price, spontaneous barbecues or bonfires will often take place. As 50% of us are Portuguese, friends (locals) will come over to join us at the fire. Quite often somebody suddenly takes a guitar and the evening will last far longer than intended. But there are also many, very nice party locations in the surrounding to which we will be pleased to take you in our shuttle bus. After all, we don’t want you to only learn surfing, but also to get to know the pleasant Portuguese nightlife.
