Biological Park of Lousã Mountains has been a benchmark as an example of good practice within the social entrepreneurship. The natural environment is a protected environment, naturally integrating that, on one hand, aims the conservation of species / indigenous breeds; on the other, the social commitment to cohesion by creating employment / occupational activities for people suffering exclusion, long-term unemployed, people with disabilities and / or chronic illness, integrating them into everyday work in the park, promoting equality and human dignity, promoting biophilia and passion for nature. Besides the zoo, Foundation ADFP (the Park´s owner) has built a restaurant, which promotes the traditional food of our region; an Eco-museum with old mills, irrigations systems and bread making machines; wine museum; cheese and pudding factory to promote women´s jobs and traditional products; a 4 star hotel integrated in nature; “Space of Mind” a museum which guides the tourist from the firsts
