At the end of the 15th century, an important religious work called "Pentateuch" was printed in Faro by Samuel Gacon. It was the first book printed in Portugal. A century later Faro was sacked during a violent attack and the "Pentateuch" was stolen. But what the robbers didn't know was that the true value of the book was a hidden manuscript with indications that helped the population to escape when the city was under attack.
