About

The purpose of our experience is to provide the nº 1 hike (PR1) in Madeira: Pico do Areeiro to Pico Ruivo! The start is in Pico do Areeiro, where the guests will enjoy a magical sunrise in the 2nd highest mountain in the Island! After watching the sunrise, the 4.5 hour hike takes place, all the way to Pico Ruivo (1862m above sea level). Throught the hike, you'll experience the best scenarios and landscapes, observing endemic flora and fauna. What makes our experience unique is that you can enjoy this hike at your own rhythm, with no guide. This is a one-way hike and the path is very well maintened and sinalized, so there is no danger of getting lost. Our driver will provide all the information that you need. The experience ends in Achada do Teixeira, where our driver will pick you up at the scheduled time and then take you back to your accommodation.
