At the foot of the highest mountain range in Continental Portugal, Serra da Estrela, lays the old and beautiful house built on top of one of the hundreds of giant stones in the central area of ​​Portugal (hence the name of the estate "The Place of the High Stone"). ​ For more than a century, Lugar da Pedra Alta has been meticulously and tastefully built as a place of relaxation and family reunions and has remained to this day the ideal hiding place for intimate moments in the family. ​ Lugar da Pedra Alta opened its doors to the public in July 2022, welcoming those who love nature and its hidden gems, stories, antiques Portuguese mountain flavour and want to be part of the family, even if only for a couple of days. ​ Lugar da Pedra Alta offers our guests an unforgettable experience in the middle of the nature, surrounded by native flora such as the wonderful almonds, evergreen olives, pine trees and other conifers and a mesmerising view of the Serra de Estrela mountain range.
