Casas do Areeiro have four traditional rural houses with an amazing ocean's view, located in the quiet village Areeiro in the southwest side of Faial Island, Azores. The houses are prepared for a self catering stay and receive guests throughout the year. Casa da Azalea and Casa da Urze for two people each, Casa da Cisterna for 3 people and Casa da Faia for 4 people. Are traditional houses that were in ruins and we recovered keeping the original style. The interiors were completely refurbished creating new spaces and adapting the living conditions, maintaining, however, some original traces. The old vegetable gardens were transformed into terraces and gardens with lawn, creating leisure spaces with a fantastic view to the ocean and over viewing the village. Located in a privileged area by the proximity of the Natural Park of Faial, volcano Capelinhos, Varadouro's tidal pool bathing area and walking trails, have the sea on the horizon and green volcanic mountains around. It is a beautiful and quietness place to relax and establish a base to explore the blue and green of the "Azorean Triangle" - the islands of Faial, Pico and Sao Jorge and sail in the sea where whales, dolphins and sea birds live.
