Carrapateira is on the west coast of the Algarve and is about 1 hour 20 mins drive from Faro airport. The beaches near Carrapateira are spectacular and popular with surfers. Carrapateira is located within 20 minutes from Aljezur, Lagos and Sagres, towns who offer an array of different activities. You will always have something different to do. Carrapateira itself is a beautiful unspoiled fishing village where you can experience the real Portuguese atmosphere. The restaurants and bars near the beach are relaxed and friendly, with excellent food. The village centre has a local store and a small daily market selling locally grown fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. To make a long story short.... it's a paradise!!!!
