Eating Bear - Taberna Lusitana
About
Eating Bear – Taberna Lusitana is a family‑run winery‑restaurant tucked into the historic centre of Lisbon. Inspired by Iberian and Mediterranean ingredients across all four seasons, the chefs pair each course with one of their own wines – from mineral‐tasting greens paired with a crisp white to meat‑rich dishes complemented by robust reds. The dining room embraces a warm winery atmosphere, where every dish is freshly prepared to order, inviting guests to taste the evolving profile of the menu. Beyond the main dining room, the restaurant offers a range of unique experiences. Shoes N’ Booze Bar hosts signature cocktails, live music and a curated selection of Port wines, while the 36‑seat restaurant welcomes group bookings. The “Winery Experience” couples three table‑service wine tastings with a rotating series of tapas that highlight each wine’s character, and the “Port Wine Experience” serves three fortified wines paired with tapas crafted to showcase the nuanced flavours of white, tawny and ruby Ports. Operating every day from 12:30 pm until midnight (closed Tuesdays), Eating Bear welcomes locals and tourists who wish to explore Portuguese cuisine in a relaxed, picturesque setting and enjoy the pairing of it with the restaurant’s own wines.
