The ECOLAND - Casa das Cores is a lovely recuperation of a small village country house. This charming place is located in the centre of the Corte Gafo de Cima village, in the Alentejo region, distance 7 miles from the historical town of Mértola and is situated within the Natural Park of Guadiana Valley. The owner of this rural house, a environmental Engineer, was very careful to maintained the genuinely and the traditional style of the building, preserving the architecture and using the most traditional restoration techniques. Indoor, is well-coming and very colourfully, the decoration combining the traditional and modern. All the rooms are painted in different warm colours: Yellow, Salmon, Blue and Green, Purple and Red ... as used in Alentejo region.With a remarkable Moorish influences and a very personal touch , the furnishings are simple and comfortable ... .In the back side of the house the small and private garden invites you to introspection and to take a tea in the peasant balcony. The ECOLAND - Casa das Cores is a perfect place to visit the region and exploring the Parque Natural do Vale do Guadiana.
