The Montargil Dam, built on the bed of the Sôr river (in the Tagus river basin), is located in the parish of Montargil, in the Municipality of Ponte de Sôr, in the District of Portalegre, in Portugal. It was designed by the General Directorate of Hydraulic Services in 1954 and was completed in 1958. The dam's reservoir is widely used for water sports, sport fishing and for activities related to nature such as bird watching. Balloon rides and ballooning are a great experience. Welcome!
