About
The Municipal Museum of Ribeira Grande is installed at São Vicente Ferreira Manor, excellent copy of plain architecture of the 17th and 18th centuries. The Chapel, which is annexed to it, is the invocation of that Saint. As to the date of its construction and who had it built, remains unknown. In 1985, it opened to the public as House of Culture, and in 2010 (through an application), because of its Heritage and Historical value, was integrated into the Portuguese Museums Network, and from that moment on was known by the name of Municipal Museum.
