About

Designed in 1981 by architect Souto Moura, the House of Arts was built between 1988 and 1991 in the gardens of Allen's house and awarded the Secil Prize. A quiet and discreet work, rich in references to modern masters and the tradition of local forms and materials, it is almost invisible alongside the work of Marques da Silva (1869-1947) and builds one of the boundaries of the unique garden.
