About
This traditional open-air market first opened its doors in 1837, and remains a historic icon and heart of the city of Porto. The restored and stylish Beaux-art style building houses around 80 traditional stalls and family-run businesses over three floors, selling a variety of fresh produce, fish, meat, and wine, alongside newer coffee shops and restaurants. Beyond food, you can also shop for unique souvenirs like perfume and jewelry from a range of local brands. There are even vendors offering services like knife sharpening. Visit the market along a tapas or walking tour of Porto to learn more about Portuguese street food and culture. – Tripadvisor
