As White As It GetsThe Restaurant Cafe PIMMS is another project associated with the avant-garde growing movement to rehabilitate the historic center of Porto. Reminding us of old grocery stores, Pimms could be found in London or Madrid, but it is in Ribeira at Porto. The color white lays out the rules in the cosmopolitan and visually attractive Pimms. The façade, shelves, benches, tables and floor are all white. There is also a large number of mirrors spread throughout the restaurant. According to the managers, the choice of the location is due to the willingness in helping out the rehabilitation of that area and also to the fact of being in the middle of a touristic site. In opposition to the modern decoration the kitchen has a traditional profile, allowing fusions to take place.It is intended as a cosmopolitan restaurant, faithful to the inhabitants of Porto and domestic products, while welcoming to tourists visiting Porto throughout the year.PIMMS is a “Cheap and Chic” restaurant where steaks, codfish, pasta, snacks and cocktails are its strength. The food is 'bridge' between the typical national at lunch and international at dinner. The house's specialties are Bife à Pimms, a loin steak with mozzarella cheese and mushroom and cream sauce, Bacalhau Pimms, shredded cod with tomato crème au gratin and cheese. With lunch menus 8.80€ and dinner menus from 20€ onwards, Pimms shows its versatility in the Carte for evenings with many cocktails and typical snacks. As for the drinks, our specialties are the caipirinhas made by our Brazilian employees and the PIMM’S Cup Nº1 made by the owners.At PIMMS all customers may feel the Porto in its essence and modernity. The new terrace is one example, where you can admire the splendor of the Church of São Francisco and the Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace). The new Events Room, right next to the terrace, is another example of rehabilitation of a commercial space. It is now very welcoming and different, but keeping true to the original design of PIMMS. This space gives a new dimension to the ability of PIMMS organization to respond to any type of event.During the Summer, from April to September, PIMMS is open every day from 10:30 to 24:00 and on Sundays from 11:30 to 16:00, serving breakfast until 12:00, lunch until 15:00, snacks and light meals in the afternoon until 19:00 and dinner until 23:00.In Winter time, from October to March, PIMMS is open from Monday to Saturday, between 12:00 to 15:00 for lunch and 19:00 to 24:00 for dinner.We recommend making a reservation for dinner.A tip: happy hour is between 17.00 and 19.00 and there are cocktails and wine by glass.
