About

«Arca de Mijavelhas» is a water reservoir built in the sixteenth century. Over time, this important reservoir was forgotten due to the improvements and innovations in the water supply to the homes of people from Porto. However, recent excavations works for Metro do Porto services revealed this old reservoir. The ruins are exposed permanently in the station «24 de Agosto».
