Restaurante Poco Azul
About
Restaurante Poço Azul is not simply a place to eat. It is a home where each person who crosses its threshhold is welcomed as family. Chef Andre Pacheco opened the restaurante in Achadinha in 2018, naming it after the famous lagoon nearby. He warmly shares that the original team still works at Poço Azul, further adding to the family feel of the establishment. In March 2023, a second dining room was opened adjacent to the original building which serves a variety of a la carte dishes, including toasted sandwich platters and salads curated by Chef Andre. Serving an eclectic mix of clientele—from loyal local patrons to tourists stopping through after a day of exploring, Poço Azul provides a cozy oásis on the north coast. A story unfolds inside its doors—a story of the rich history and culture of the Açores, where each bite of delicious cuisine reveals a chapter in the telling of the flavors of São Miguel.
