Founded by Jorge Russano, the history of Churrasqueira de Sines started in this same space in Gago Coutinho Street, on the 1st of April of 1985. At first, assisted by his associate Ana and his wife Fatima, in the small space that had the capacity for 41 people, Jorge amazed his first customers for his delicious grilled food and friendly service. The years passed and the number of customers kept growing, so the necessity of a bigger space was evident. Initially, the at the time famous “shed” was an addition to the main space, and the meals where served in long shared tables. Afterwards, the whole space was refurbished into what we today know as our restaurant, that can sit up to 115 people. Specialized in charcoal grills and traditional Portuguese food, stands out our iconic grilled chicken, that is marinated in a special house seasoning. The recipe has been the same for over 30 years and it’s almost as antique as our restaurant.
