Alma do Paço is a beautifully restored guesthouse with Portuguese national heritage. With original features dating back to as far as the 14th century, Alma do Paço used to act as a holiday refuge for the (then) King of Portugal. What has remained are the spectacular ruins, as well as the original chapel, nowadays loved by people from all walks of life. Think for example wedding couples- who hold their ceremonies amongst the ruins - or - yogi's who love to meditate in the peaceful surroundings of the chapel. If you, however, are 'just' looking for a place to call home for your holidays.. Don't worry, we've got a spot by our unique, one of a kind plunge pool reserved for you! Alma do Paço consists of 6 'casas', all very different in size and layout. But what they all have in common is the same cosy & comfortable style, energy and eye for detail. You can opt for a private room - perfect for the solo traveller, a romantic double room - some even with the luxury of your own terrace - or - why not book a family room so you can bring your friends & family! Whichever one you choose; all casas have their own bathroom and some even have a private terrace. Oh and don't forget, a delicious breakfast is always included in the room rate! At Alma do Paço, you can walk to the beach, enjoy a yoga class from our in-house certified instructor or indulge in a relaxing massage by our licensed masseuse. During the day you'll always be welcome in our chapel, quietly check up on your emails or simply for a cup of coffee. At night we will light up the firepit in the ruins area, which honestly is the perfect spot to read a book, stargaze or gather with your friends and a glass of wine. We have a wide range of activities available which you can book at our reception, and are very happy to recommend you the best local restaurants. Of course you can park for free at the property, we always reserve parking spots for all our guests. For group bookings we can even offer catering options upon request!
